Polish GDP grew on the last quarter of 2022 by 2% year on year, in real terms,
meaning, compared to the last quarter of 2021. this number is unadjusted to seasonal variations. Taking those variations into account Polish GDP grew by only 0.4%.
On a quarter by quarter basis, the Polish economy shrank by 2.4% compared to the
third quarter of 2022. Altogether except for the first quarter which showed healthy growth,
the other 3 quatres demonstrated an on going weakness for the Polish economy.
GDP for the whole year grew 4.9%. The projections for 2023 are not positive. The Polish economy is to continue demonstrating weak performance.
The main reason for the above slowdown is consumer weakness, influenced mainly by high
inflation. on the positive side the rate of investment in Poland is quite healthy it grew during
2022 by 4,8%. Exports grew by 2% and imports by only 0.2%
