As far as Polish demography is concerned the story is not optimistic.
In 2022 the number of poles residing in Poland was 37,766,000. It reflects a decade
of declining numbers, save for 2017 which recorded an increase of 1,000 people.
in 2022 there were 305,000 births and more than 448,000 people passed away.
As to the division between the sexes, there are 52% females over 48% man. however until age 49, there are more females. 97 women on 101 men. Among people who are above 50
126 women on 100 men. 75 years and above 191 women to 100 men.
the median age in Poland is 42. With respect to children until the age of 14
on 100 such children you have 126 adults who are over the age of 65.
the median age in Poland is 42.
Children between the ages 0 - 14 consist of 15.4% of the entire population
but those over 65 consist of 19.5% of the population. In 1990 such adults consisted
of 10% of the entire population. people whose age is pre working years i.e. 0 - 17 consist of
18.4% of the entire population. In 1990 they were 29.6% of the Polish population.
with respect to those who are beyond the working age (60 -65) they consist of 22.9%
of the population. In 1990 they consisted of 12.9% of the population.
Those who by virtue of their age consist the work force are of 58.7% of the entire population. This number represents of steady decline in the percent of people
who are in the working force.
So far an adequate solution do not seem to present themselves. Things seem to be heading
the wrong direction. February 2023 recorded 21,500 births, the lowest number
which has ever been recorded in Poland including during the Second World War.
