In 2022 the number of new births in Poland amounted to 290,000.

That was the lowest number of new births recorded, since the end of

the second world war!. It also means, that the polish population is diminishing

in size. the number of deaths exceeded the number of births. Poles also tend to

emigrate, which adds to the problem. The only phenomenon that mitigates this trend, is the existence of a large number of Ukrainian refugees on Polish soil
